Check Out & Hotel Services

• Bell Desk – Ext. 158
• Check-out – Is 11:00 am daily.
• Library – Quiet and relaxing with a grand fireplace and a selection of books and board games. Located at the far end of the second floor above the dining room
• Religious services – Please contact reception at Ext. 158

Medical & Emergency

• Ambulance – Call 911. Please note that the ambulance comes from Banff (half hour drive) at user’s expense

Fire Preparedness

On Check-In:

• Find exits. Note floor plan on room door
• Count doorways and features between room and exits
• Keep your room key near the bed

These are the recommended steps to follow in the event of a fire.

Main Floor Guests:

1. Report fire to the hotel operator
2. Go to your patio door
3. If there are no flames around the door, open it, exit the building, and shut the door behind you
4. If you cannot use the patio door, take your key and go to the room door.
5. Feel the door. If it is hot, do not open it – go to step 9
6. If the door is cool, open it cautiously
7. If there is smoke in the hall, crawl
8. Make your way to the fire exit
9. If your room door is hot, stay in your room
10. Phone for help – signal firefighters from your window. Do not open or break doors or windows
11. Fill the bathtub with water
12. Seal cracks around doors and vents with wet cloths

Second and Third Floor Guests:

1. Report fire to the Hotel Operator
2. Take your key and go to your room door
3. Feel the door. If it is hot, go to step 7
4. If the door is cool, open it cautiously
5. If there is smoke in the hall, crawl. Do not use the elevator – use fire stairwell exits
6. Make your way to ground level
7. If your room door is hot, go to the balcony door, open it, go out on the balcony, close the door behind you, and wait
8. If you cannot use the balcony, stay in your room
9. Phone for help – signal firefighters from your window. Do not open or break doors or windows
10. Fill the bathtub with water
11. Seal cracks around doors and vents with wet cloths

Room & Personal Services

• Babysitting – Inquire at reception
• Barber shop & Beauty Salon – Available at the Spa at the Chateau Lake Louise (403) 522-1545
• Bathrobes – Are available for use during your stay and are hung in your bathroom or closet. For purchase inquiries, please contact Temple Mountain Spa, ext. 188
• Coffee & Tea – Complimentary coffee and tea are available in the lobby from 6:30am to 11:00am daily
• Hot Water Bottle – Are available, please contact the reception
• Ice & Mixers – Ice machines are conveniently located on each floor with a pop machine on the first floor only
• Irons & Ironing boards – If your room does not include an iron and ironing board, please contact reception
• Laundry – Please call reception for pickup. Services are provided by an outside company in Canmore. Next day service (laundry pick-up at 5:00pm, fresh laundry delivered at 5:00pm the following day)
• Room Safe – Your room is equipped with a personal safe

Fireplace

• Damper – The damper in your chimney is open. Please do not adjust
• Safety Screen – When using your fireplace, please make sure the screen is properly closed
• Additional Firewood – Contact reception if you need additional firewood or assistance.
• General Safety – Please do not leave a fire unattended. When retiring, make sure the screen is properly closed

Sports & Rentals

• Ski Storage Room – Available at front entrance. Ski locks available at reception.
• Sports Shop & Equipment Rental – Wilson Mountain Sports is located across the footbridge in the Samson Mall – (403) 522-3636

Technology & Entertainment

• Email – For your convenience, the hotel has a computer available in the lobby for checking email
• Fax – (403) 522-3966
• Internet Access – The hotel offers wireless high speed internet access. Password is: post1000
• Messages/Voicemail – The hotel offers a voicemail service for each guest room. Dial 555 to retrieve messages if red light is flashing
• Movies – A selection of movies is available at reception. The movies are complimentary but must be signed out. All guest room TVs have DVD players.
