We realize that many of you have some concerns when it comes to staying at a hotel.  Rest assured our main objective is to safeguard you so you can “Escape with Confidence”.  We invite you to read about the preparations and procedures the Post Hotel is implementing with re-opening.

To put you further at ease, we have made the decision to open the Post Hotel Dining Room to registered guests exclusively.

Our Approach  

The Post Hotel has always been synonymous with exemplary standards of service, housekeeping, and health & safety.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic we have enhanced our exacting standards to a new level across all aspects of our hotel operations.

Due to the constantly changing nature of Alberta Health guidance and advice, our internal operating practices and protocols will be continuously reviewed and immediately updated.

 

Our Team  

  • Temperature checks will be taken daily before entering the building.
  • All team members will be required to wash their hands (or use hand sanitizer) every 20 minutes.
  • All team members will be required to stay at home if unwell and follow official guidance on self-isolation if required.
  • All team members will be required to wear PPE as appropriate.
  • The team will follow a policy of no physical contact and maintain social distancing, wherever possible.

 

Our Guests

  • Closer to your arrival we will communicate all pre-arrival details and review our health & travel requirements with you. We have introduced an expedited check-in for those of you who would like a “contactless check-in“ arrival experience.
  • Hotel guests will receive an amenity kit upon arrival, which includes face mask, gloves, hand sanitizer and wipes.
  • We have cleaned and sanitized your room or suite with extra care.
  • We have removed non-essential items to minimize any contamination risk.
  • You will find a hand sanitizer bottle in your room or suite.
  • Please wash your hands when returning to your accommodation.
  • Please utilize our NEW text messaging system to communicate with our team.
  • If you wish to use cash, please pre-arrange with the front desk.
  • Credit card details will be required prior to arrival to ensure contactless payment.
  • With COVID-19 restrictions currently in place, some of our services and facilities are unfortunately limited or unavailable.

 

Your Welcome  

  • Our “Health Concierge” will greet you upon your arrival to the hotel and complete a Health & Wellness check for everyone in your party. Digital temperatures will also be taken. If your temperature is 100.5 degrees F (38 degrees C) or above, unfortunately, you will be declined entry and your deposit will either be refunded or your stay re-scheduled.
  • You will have to self-park your car as valet parking is not available.
  • If you have opted for a “Contactless Check-in”, your sanitized room key is waiting for you with the Health Concierge.
  • You will receive a welcome text message to your cellphone with further information on your stay.
  • If you choose so, the bell team will deliver your luggage to your room and only enter upon permission.

 

Your Stay  

  • We are reminding our guests to practice social distancing. Therefore, when using the elevator please remember only one couple/family at a time.
  • Hand sanitizing stations are placed in public areas throughout the property.
  • We invite you to text us anytime for any needs you may have during your stay.
  • We will provide you with a special link to our website explaining all details pertinent to your stay along with the menus of the day.
  • An enhanced cleaning program of public areas with special attention to high touch surfaces will be in place.
  • We offer your choice of housekeeping service for your room: i.e. morning and turndown service, full morning service only, or no service at all.
  • Our cancellation policy of 14 days prior to arrival has been relaxed for Covid-19 related exceptions.

 

Your Food & Beverage Service  

  • Your Post Hotel experience includes a daily in-room Deluxe Continental Breakfast and a 4-Course Dinner in our renowned dining room each evening.
  • Your breakfast will be delivered to your bedroom door. Choose your beverage option and delivery time on your doorknob order card. Breakfast is available between 7am – 10am.
  • The dining room is closed for lunch. For your daily outing, a lunch box or picnic basket is available for purchase through the front desk.
  • For dinner, reservations are required. A daily 4-course “Table d’Hôte” menu will be served in our renowned dining room. Early and later seating times will be offered. Our 25,000-bottle wine list can be viewed on iPads that are disinfected between each guest use.
  • If you are more comfortable, the same 4-Course Dinner can be served in your room.
  • Our full choice of cocktails is available and drinks can be delivered to your room.
  • To ensure social distancing we have reduced our dining room capacity by 50%.
  • Sir Norman Lounge is open from 2pm – 12am daily.
  • Afternoon tea will be served daily from 2pm – 5pm.
  • Until further notice, our Outpost Pub will remain closed.

 

Your Wellness

An enhanced cleaning program of public areas with special attention to high touch surfaces will be in place.

 

The Spa

  • Our spa is open exclusively for registered hotel guests.
  • The steam room and Jacuzzi remain closed for the time being until the next phase of the Alberta Government protocol allows re-opening.
  • Hand sanitizers are placed throughout and at entry and exit points.
  • We encourage you to make appointments in advance.
  • We encourage our guests to shower and change into their robes/slippers in their rooms since the change/locker rooms will be closed.
  • We recommend that you wear masks when arriving for your treatments.
  • Please arrive for your treatment no more than 5 minutes in advance.
  • We have spaced out our treatment times to allow additional cleaning and disinfecting between guests and to limit the number of guests arriving at the same time.
  • Our therapists will be wearing masks and change their uniform tops between guests.

 

 The Pool

  • The steam room and Jacuzzi remain closed for the time being until the next phase of the Alberta Government protocol allows re-opening.
  • Hand sanitizers are placed throughout and at entry and exit points.
  • We ask that you make reservations if you are planning to use the pool. People with reservations will have priority.
  • We are reminding our guests to practice social distancing. Therefore, only 2 couples/families maximum will be admitted to the pool at a time.
  • We encourage our guests to change in their rooms before arriving to the pool since the changing rooms/lockers will be closed. The pool deck shower will still be available for use.

 

The Fitness Room

  • Hand sanitizers are placed throughout and at entry and exit points.
  • We ask that you make reservations if you are planning to use the fitness room. People with reservations will have priority.
  • We will limit the amount of people working out at the same time to encourage social distancing.
  • We encourage guests to sanitize the fitness machines they are using before and after use.
