Our Favourite Charity

Since 2004, George and André have been proud supporters of the Kids Cancer Care Foundation of Alberta. Through Wine Summit Lake Louise, an annual wine and food event that takes place each year at the Post, over $938,000 has been raised for this special charity. The Schwarz brothers cherish their association with Kids Cancer Care and are pushing for donations to eventually surpass the One Million Dollar mark.

Christine McIvor, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Kids Cancer Care, had this to say about the long standing relationship: “Thank you for believing in the magic of a camp for children affected by cancer. With your heartfelt donations, you have created a special place for kids and their families … Camp Kindle. Camp Kindle is a place for healing of the mind and body and a place where families can renew relationships that have been disrupted by disease”.

In 2016 more than 750 children braving cancer will attend Camp Kindle. For a short time, words like chemo and treatment will be replaced by fun and play. A blessed time to rekindle the minds, bodies and spirits of these families and bring laugher and joy back into their lives.
